The 2019 Conference built on the success of the first WIP Conference to bring together women and men for another empowering weekend of reflection on what it means for women to be in power. We examined the very idea of power in its most diverse, inclusive and accessible forms, in particular exploring the way individuals are contributing to powerful change, and the way that women rising, challenging, and thriving together are making a more diverse and equitable world.

Our two-day conference brought together panelists and speakers that examined the role of women in the global economy, the way they are fighting back through politics, and standing up for their sexuality and pleasure. We talked about women across all aspects of public policy, from women in foreign policy and international development to technology and climate. We explored redefining feminism, new political narratives, performing arts as activism and young female leadership, and hosted workshops that provided conference participants with the tools to rise, challenge, and thrive themselves.
